NEW DELHI: The Portland Trail Blazers secured a convincing 130-104 victory over the short-handed Philadelphia 76ers. Jerami Grant led the way with 27 points, while Malcolm Brogdon contributed 24 points and nine assists for the Trail Blazers.
Philadelphia played without its reigning MVP and NBA scoring leader Joel Embiid for the second consecutive game due to a knee injury.The absence of Embiid and Tyrese Maxey (ankle) created a significant challenge for the 76ers, who fell to 3-9 without Embiid this season.

Portland took advantage of Philadelphia’s short-handed roster and dominated the second half, outscoring the 76ers 72-49. Scoot Henderson came off the bench to contribute 22 points, Deandre Ayton added 18, and Anfernee Simons scored 15 for the Trail Blazers.
Kelly Oubre Jr. led the 76ers with 25 points, but Philadelphia struggled from behind the arc, shooting just 17.2 percent (5 of 29) on 3-point attempts. Patrick Beverley scored 14 points, and Paul Reed added 11 for the 76ers.
Portland’s efficient shooting played a crucial role in the victory, with the Trail Blazers shooting 54.8 percent from the floor and making 42.9 percent of their 3-point attempts (12 of 28). The win marked Portland’s fifth in the past 16 games and provided the team with its largest winning margin of the season.
The Trail Blazers led 58-55 at halftime, and a 14-0 run in the third quarter helped them build a substantial lead. The advantage reached as much as 31 points in the final quarter as Portland cruised to the victory.
